Rob McElroy is currently living in Seoul, teaching at a private Cambridge University Accredited English Immersion K-6 school. He has been living overseas for almost ten years and has taught students from kindergarten to university. This is his first stab at online learning, and he is enjoying meeting new people and exploring the concepts he is being exposed to in the U.B.C. M.E.T. program. When not trying to wrangle his wild grade 6 class, Rob is busy chasing around his two little girls and trying to survive in a house where he is outnumbered 3 to 1. Justin Ouellette is currently living in Seoul, working in a private immersion school with international school authorization. His current role is a grade three educator and team leader. He will soon be transitioning to another international school, preferably one with an IB accreditation. This is his first semester in the MET program, which he hopes will land him in a position in the field upon completion. When he's not in the classroom or learning, his interests include spending time with his family, rock climbing, playing tennis, hiking, photography, reading, and travelling. Jaya Van Praagh is currently living in Singapore, teaching Grade 3 at an International IBO school. She has worked in Southeast Asia on and off for almost fifteen years and is preparing to move back to Canada with her husband and daughter at the end of this school year. This is her first semester in the MET program and she loves the opportunity to collaborate with educators around the world. Jaya enjoys all water sports, and spends her family holiday times at the beach, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. She owns a small sailboat and tries to get out on it as much as possible.
